Functions

We cater for functions and groups –
Call Bec Smith, Manager on
08 8737 3350 to book ahead.
We can cater for up to 80 people.

4 Cellar Doors

The Terra Rossa Wine Club is the cellar
door for 4 small local winemakers. Each
has wines available for tastings everyday.
Because we have competing wines, we
offer horizontal tastings and not just vertical.
This allows comparisons of the same
varieties from different makers, is more
educational and offers better value!
We have over 18 wines open for tasting at
any one time – so don’t miss this key outlet
for the more hard-to-find winemakers in
Penola.

Current members of the Terra Rossa Cellar Door include:
• Kopparossa Wines (Gavin Hogg – 5 wines)
• The Hundred of Comaum (Steve Moignard – 10 wines)
• Roy Kidman Wines (Tim Kidman – 5 wines)
• Pipwin (Pip Treadwell - 3 wines)

Membership changes often so remember
to check in everytime you visit Coonawarra.

Producer’s association, contact:

Tapas Restaurant

The tapas tradition has evolved in
Spain through the incorporation
of ingredients from many different
cultures and countries. At the entrance
to the mediterranean, the spanish
enjoyed fanatastic meats and
seafoods to begin with. The 4th century
Romans introduced irrigation and
olives; the 8th century Moors brought
almonds, citrus fruits, fragrant spices;
and the discovery of the Americas
brought tomatoes, sweet and chili
peppers, corn, beans and potatoes.
The serving of tapas became
manadatory in Spain when a Spanish
King, Alfonso the Wise, “recovered
from an illness by drinking wine mixed
with small dishes between meals”,
subsequently making it a crime to
serve alcohol without tapas dishes!
Tapas are very strongly fl avored with
garlic, chilies or paprika, cumin, salt,
pepper, saffron and usually in plentiful
amounts of olive oil.
The serving of tapas is designed to
encourage conversation because
people are not so focused upon
eating an entire meal, and it is
customary for diners to stand and
move about while eating.

We love our Tapas at the Terra Ross
Wine Club – and we know you will too.
We have one (or two) for everyone!
